What I’m listening to: Stumblin’ In by Chris Norman and Suzi Quatro
A few weeks ago I spent the start of summer in Italy, first on the island of Sardinia before flying to Rome to explore. I rented a car internationally for the first time, and that went surprisingly smoothly even though everything on the dash was in Italian and I don’t know what km are in comparison to miles lol. The beaches are beautiful and the island has a wild quality to it that makes you feel you are much further away from the hubbub of Rome than the 30 minute flight it is.

That was the end of day 1. The next morning I woke up and basically was entirely unproductive aside from reading an entire novel cover to cover and sitting by the gorgeous pool.

The next day I was up and headed to the mainland! I landed and checked into the convent I was staying at, take a look at my room below.

Then it was time to explore the Vatican.

I saw the Basilica and the museums, then headed back to the convent to get ready to see more the next day.

After my entirely healthy breakfast, it was time to see some of Rome’s most famous landmarks.

Day 3 kicked off with a tour of the Spanish steps, followed by tea and a visit to the Keats Shelley memorial.

After lunch I visited the Pantheon, which was a highlight!

My final day in Rome saw me head first to the military museum – look at those views!

Cheers to Roma (and Sardinia)!
Bye for now,
KJ
